1. Drain transaxle fluid by removing oil pan drain plug.
2. Remove oil pan.
3. Disconnect throttle control cable from throttle cam.
4. Remove oil filter and filter plate.
5. Remove valve body assembly, being careful not to drop manual valve.

6. Adjust line pressure by turning adjusting screw at regulator valve, Fig. 6, counterclockwise to increase line pressure or clockwise to decrease line pressure. One complete rotation of adjusting screw will change line pressure approximately 3.7 psi for wide open condition of throttle cable.

7. Ensure O-ring is properly installed in top of valve body, Fig. 7.
8. Install valve body assembly, fitting groove of manual valve on manual control shaft detent plate pin.

9. Install valve body attaching bolts in proper positions, Fig. 8, and torque to 8 ft. lbs. Bolt (A) is .709 inch long, bolt (B) is .984 inch long and bolt (C) is 1.576 inches long.
10. Install filter plate, gasket, and oil filter. Torque attaching bolts to 48-60 inch lbs.
11. Connect throttle cable to throttle cam.
12. Install new oil pan gasket, oil pan, washers, and bolts. Torque bolts to 7.5-8.5 ft. lbs.
13. Fill transaxle to specifications with Dexron II or Diamond ATF SP automatic transaxle fluid.
