Fig. 6 Rear Suspension Assembly Replacement:





Refer to Fig. 6 for removal and installation of rear suspension.
1. Remove rear seat, then raise and support rear of vehicle and remove rear wheels, center exhaust pipe and shock absorber mounting nuts.
2. On models with disc brakes, remove brake caliper and rotor.
3. On models with drum brakes, remove brake drum and disconnect brake hose.
4. Disconnect parking brake cable and rear speed sensor connector, then remove upper arm bracket mounting bolt.
5. Remove trailing arm mounting bolt, grommet and crossmember mounting nuts, then lower rear suspension assembly from vehicle.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Bleed brake system as outlined in Brakes.
b. Adjust parking brake and inspect wheel alignment as necessary.

c. Tighten all rear suspension assembly nuts and bolts to specifications in Fig. 6.
