Neutral Safety Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect all switch connections, then remove switch from transaxle.
2. Reverse procedure to install, then adjust switch as follows:
a. Place selector lever and manual control lever in Neutral position.

b. Rotate switch body, ensuring manual control lever hole and switch body hole are aligned, Fig. 7 and 8.
c. Torque mounting bolts of the park/neutral position switch body to 7-9 ft. lbs. Do not drop switch body.

d. Loosen nut as shown, Fig. 9, then lightly pull end of transaxle control cable in "F" direction by hand. Torque to 7-10 ft. lbs.
e. With selector lever in Neutral position, ensure neutral start switch operates and functions on transaxle side in range which corresponds to each position of selector lever.
