Dear Mitsubishi Owner,

Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America , Inc. (MMSA) has determined that the underhood emissions label of your 1994 Galant may contain incorrect information Accordingly, MMSA has announced a service campaign to correct this deficiency.

The Vehicle Emission control Information Label (VECI) on your vehicle fails to indicate that your vehicle conforms to California Emissions standards, as well as Federal standards. To correct this error, we have enclosed a revised VECI label to be applied directly over the present label. We ask that you immediately install this label yourself following the instructions below. If preferred, you may also return to your authorized Mitsubishi Motors Dealer for installation at no charge.

Failure to perform this modification could result in additional expense or difficulty when registering your vehicle.

VECI LABEL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Open the hood and locate the VECI label (upper right hand side of hood). Carefully clean the old label of dirt and residue. Carefully remove the backing strip from the new label and apply over the existing label.
