Removal and Replacement

1. Relieve fuel system pressure as outlined under Technician Safety Information, then scribe and remove hood.
2. Drain engine coolant into a suitable container, then remove transaxle.
3. Remove radiator as outlined under Radiator, then the engine lower cover.

4. Remove engine assembly in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 6, noting the following:
a. When removing power steering pump and A/C compressor, leave hoses attached and support aside.
b. Ensure engine is supported when transaxle is removed. A block of wood placed between oil pan and a floor jack will suffice until a suitable engine lifting device can be installed.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten all engine mounting bolts and nuts to specifications.
