Thermostat: Service and Repair

1. Drain engine coolant into a suitable container, then disconnect lower radiator hose. Mark hose position for installation reference.
2. Remove water outlet fitting, then the thermostat.
3. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure thermostat is installed with jiggle valve facing straight up and is aligned with mark on thermostat case.
b. Tighten water outlet fitting bolts to specifications.
