Steering Wheel: Service and Repair

Refer to Technician Safety Information for Air Bag Arming and Disarming.

1. Remove horn pad assembly.
2. Remove spring holder.
3. Remove steering wheel using a suitable steering wheel puller. Do not hammer on steering column to remove it, doing so may damage collapsible mechanism.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:

a. Install spring clip as shown in Fig. 6.
b. Press downward on horn pad to install it on steering wheel.
