Removal

Fig. 33 Exploded View Of Balance Shaft Belt:

1. Remove timing belt as described in Timing Belt, Fig. 33.
2. Use an old ribbed belt and belt holder tool to prevent crankshaft from turning, and remove crankshaft sprocket bolt, crankshaft pulley and sprocket.
3. Remove flange and tensioner.
4. Mark rotational direction of engine on timing belt and remove.
