Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection

PRIMARY COIL RESISTANCE
Measure between the primary positive (+) and negative (-) coil terminals.
- Acceptable resistance at 20°C (68°F) 0.72 - 0.88 ohms

SECONDARY COIL RESISTANCE
Measure between the positive (+) primary terminal and the high voltage terminal.
- Acceptable resistance at 20°C (68°F) 10.3 K - 13.9 K ohms

NOTE: If any of the above test results are not within specifications or physical damage is apparent, replace the ignition coil.
