Distributor: Description and Operation

Component Overview:

Purpose
The Optical Distributor sends engine speed, TDC, and crankshaft position signals to the Engine Control Module (ECM).
- These signals are used to control ignition timing, fuel injection, and idle speed.
- Distributes coil secondary voltage to correct spark plug cable, through rotor and distributor cap.
