Without Scan Tool

1. Connect an analog voltmeter to the diagnostic output terminal (No. 6 terminal) and the ground terminal (No. 12 terminal) of the data link connector (white).

NOTE: Other diagnostic items are also indicated by the waveforms corresponding to the diagnostic trouble codes obtained when a scan tool is used.






2. Read out the diagnostic trouble codes by observing the voltmeter pointer deflection.
3. Repair the problem location, referring to the diagnostic chart.
