With Multi-Use Tester

1. Adjust screw to obtain the following kickdown brake pressures when pressure control solenoid is activated at 50 percent duty ratio with diagnostic scan tool:
a. On models equipped with F4A21 transaxle, correct kickdown brake pressure is 38-41 psi.
b. On models equipped with F4A22 transaxle, correct kickdown brake pressure is 35-43 psi.
2. Ensure reducing pressure is 51-68 psi after adjustment. This adjustment must be made with oil temperature at 158-176°F. Higher oil temperatures result in lower line pressure at idle, making accurate adjustment difficult.
