PURPOSE

This bulletin provides information on new key blanks and key cutting equipment required for all 1993 Mirages.

DESCRIPTION





The ignition and door key blanks used on the 1993 Mirage are different in shape than key blanks used for all other Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America (MMSA) vehicles. Because of this, the present key cutting equipment and key blanks used for MMSA vehicles cannot be used to duplicate keys for the 1993 Mirage. Refer to the following illustration for 1993 Mirage key blank identification.



Mitsubishi Motor Dealers who wish to purchase key cutting equipment for the 1993 Mirage must contact the key cutting equipment vendor, Curtis Industries. Curtis stocks the modified cam/carriage set needed by Dealers who already own a Curtis key cutter. Key blanks may be purchased through your PDC. Refer to the parts information (as shown) for details.

NOTE:
Before the new key cutting equipment was available, Curtis Industries offered free key cutting for the 1993 Mirage. Now that the equipment is available, the free key cutting program is no longer in effect.
