REVISIONS TO INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PURPOSE
The installation instructions for TRW's Remote Keyless Entry system (RKE) differ slightly between the 1993 Diamante Wagon and the Diamante sedan. In the Diamante RKE installation instructions, these differences are not shown.
This bulletin explains how to revise the Diamante RKE installation instructions when installing the system on a 1993 Diamante Wagon.
NOTE:
When installing the TRW RKE system on a Diamante sedan, the installation instructions do not require revision.
DESCRIPTION
On page 4 of the Diamante's TRW RKE installation instructions, three revisions must be made for the system to operate correctly on the 1993 Diamante Wagon. Before installing the TRW RKE system on the Diamante Wagon, use the information in this bulletin to revise the installation instructions.
Refer to this bulletin for a description of the revisions.
As shown, add the three revisions to page 4 of the RKE Installation Instructions.
Revision 1. To enable the RKE "Lock Control" function, the purple "Lock Control" wire
splices into the red wire in wiring harness "A". Change the red-blue vehicle wire color to a red wire color.
Revision 2. On the 1993 Diamante Wagon, vehicle wiring harness "C" contains two
blue-red wires. One has a slightly larger gauge than the other.
To enable the RKE "Ignition On" function, splice
the orange "Ignition On" wire to the smaller gauge
blue-red wire in wiring harness "C".
Revision 3. The "Test Light" and "Ohm Meter" information does
not apply. Ignore this information when installing
the TRW RKE system on the 1993 Diamante Wagon.
