1. Raise and support vehicle and remove wheel.
2. Remove brake caliper as outlined under REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
3. Disassemble caliper assembly in numbered sequence shown in Figs. 4 and 5, noting the following:
a. Protect caliper body with shop towel. Blow compressed air through brake hose opening to remove piston boot and piston.
b. Remove piston seal using finger.
c. Clean piston and inner cylinder using alcohol or brake fluid.
4. Reverse numbered sequence in Figs. 4 and 5 to assemble caliper. On AWD models, match guide and lockpins identification marks with marks on caliper body when installing.
