PURPOSE

This Technical Service Bulletin revises the intake manifold bolt/nut tightening torque for the 4G9 (1834cc) engine. The 4G9 engine is currently used on the Expo LRV

As a reference to this TSB, write the TSB revision number in the TSB Revision box located at the bottom of each affected service manual page.

DESCRIPTION








To ensure proper tightening of the intake manifold, the intake manifold bolt/nut tightening torque has been increased to 20 N-m (14.5 ft.lbs.). Previously, the intake manifold bolt/nut tightening torque was 18 N-m (13 ft.lbs.).

Please revise the service manual pages as shown in the following examples.
