The A/C Installation Manual shows two water temperature switches. One of the switches has two pins; the other has one pin. The two-pin switch is used on all installations. The one-pin switch is used on vehicles which have a "1-P" harness. If the A/C kit you are installing has a 1-pin switch but the vehicle has no "1-P" wiring connector, discard the 1-pin switch.

A/C kits manufactured before October, 1991 may contain two water temperature switches. When installing A/C kit P/N MB898396 on an Expo 2.4L with automatic transaxle, please discard the one pin water temperature switch (P/N MZ701096).
