System Operation
Evaporative Emission Control System:
PURPOSE
The Evaporative Emission Control System is designed to prevent fuel vapors from being emitted into the atmosphere from the fuel tank.
COMPONENTS
The system consists of a Pressure/Vacuum Relief Filler Cap, a Rollover Check Valve, a Charcoal Canister, and connecting lines and hoses.
PURGE CONTROL
Canister purging is controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM) through the Purge Control Solenoid Valve.
