1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Release fuel system pressure.
3. Mark and remove hood assembly.
4. Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
5. Remove front exhaust pipe.
6. Remove transaxle assembly as outlined in TRANSMISSIONS CLUTCHES DIFFERENTIALS AXLES AND DRIVE SHAFTS/AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES/TRANSAXLE.
7. Remove radiator assembly.
8. Remove engine assembly in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 8, noting the following:
a. Remove and position aside both the power steering pimp and air conditioner compressor, leaving hoses attached.
b. Disconnect alternator wiring from the engine compartment relay block.
c. Support engine assembly using a suitable engine lifting device, then remove engine mounting bolts.
d. After ensuring all hoses and electrical connections are disconnected, raise engine out of engine compartment.

9. Reverse procedure to install, installing engine mount bracket stopper as shown in, Fig. 2.
