Detonation (Knock) Sensor Location:

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

NOTE: If not torqued to specification engine control can be affected.


1. Removal of the sensor involves disassembly and removal of the air intake plenum and intake manifold.

Detonation (Knock) Sensor Removal/Replacement:

2. Using appropriate removal tool (MD998773 or equivalent), loosen detonation sensor and remove.

3. Install in reverse order making sure to torque sensor to specification.

Torque
14 - 18 ft-lbs (20 - 25 Nm)
