DO

Handle all fuel injection related parts with care as they may easily be damaged.

Use new gaskets or O-rings when installing fuel lines or injectors.

Lightly lubricate O-rings and flare connections with gasoline.

Check for leaks after servicing fuel system, and correct as needed.

DO NOT

Operate the fuel pump without fuel.

Depress the accelerator pedal on fuel injected models while trying to start the car.

Use engine oil, gear lubricant or brake fluid to lubricate fuel system connections and o-rings.
