Without Scan Tool
1. Connect a voltmeter between terminals # 2 (sensor output) and # 4 (Sensor ground) of the TPS connector (white), (using a test harness that allows access to all TPS wires).
2. Without starting the engine turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and check the TPS output voltage.
Acceptable Voltage
0.580 - 0.690 volts
3. If the voltage is out of specification, loosen the TPS mounting bolts, and rotate the TPS until the output is within specification.
4. Tighten TPS mounting bolt.
5. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
6. Clear codes and remove test harness.
