WHEN USING THE SCAN TOOL [MULTI-USE TESTER (MUT) OR MUT-II

CAUTION: Make certain that the ignition switch is OFF when the scan tool is connected or disconnected.

1. Check the diagnostic trouble codes.

2. After the malfunction has been repaired, erase the diagnostic trouble codes.

3. Recheck the diagnostic trouble codes, and make sure that the diagnostic trouble codes are normal.
