1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Release fuel system pressure.
3. Replace air plenum and intake manifold in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 11, noting the following when installing:
a. Install throttle body gasket as shown in Fig. 12.
b. Rotate engine to position No. 1 cylinder at top dead center.
c. On DOHC engines, line up match marks on crank angle sensor then install into engine.
d. On SOHC engines, align distributor housing and gear mating marks, then install distributor into engine keeping mounting stud located in center of adjusting slot in distributor.
e. On all models, lubricate fuel pressure regulator and fuel injector O-rings with clean engine oil for easy installation.
f. Install injector into delivery pipe installing clip as shown, Fig. 13.
