Wiper Operation Check

Fig. 70 Front Wiper Motor Connector Identification:

1. To ensure low and high speed operation of wiper motor connect battery as shown in Fig. 70.
2. To check motor for automatic stop position run motor at low speed then disconnect battery. Connect jumper wire and battery as shown in Fig. 70.

1. Remove knee protector and column cover.
2. Disconnect switch connector.
3. Operate switch and ensure continuity between terminals as shown in Fig. 71.

WIPER RELAY CHECK

Refer to Fig. 72 for terminal identification when checking wiper relay.
1. Ensure continuity exists between terminals 5 and 11, and 6 and 10. Ensure no continuity exists between terminal 6 and 11.
2. Connect battery positive to terminal 5 and battery negative to terminal 11, ensure battery voltage is at terminal 6.
