REMOTE CONTROL PANEL

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

On 1992 Diamante and 3000GTs, three different audio remote control panels were used on the steering wheel throughout the model year. To help avoid confusion, this bulletin will describe the remote control functions on each of the three steering wheel panels.

VEHICLES AFFECTED

1992 Diamante and 1992 300OGT vehicles equipped with the steering wheel audio remote control panel are affected by this bulletin.

DESCRIPTION





When servicing 1992 Diamantes and 3000GTs, you may notice that some steering wheel audio remote control panels are different than others. During the 1992 model year, three different remote control panels were used. For identification purposes, these panels are labeled Panel A, Panel B, and Panel C in this bulletin.

NOTE:
Beginning with the 1993 model year, both the Diamante and 3000GT use only Panel C.

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION BUTTONS

All three remote control panels have six function buttons. Refer to the illustration at the beginning of this bulletin.





Looking left to right across the panels, the first four function buttons are identical. Refer to the information for a description of each button.

5TH AND 6TH FUNCTION BUTTONS











The 5th and 6th function buttons on the audio remote control panel differ slightly between all three panels. For a description of each panel's 5th and 6th function buttons, refer to the following information.
