REDUCTION IN REFRIGERANT QUANTITY - SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE
PURPOSE
This Technical Service Bulletin describes a reduction in refrigerant quantity for some 1992 3OOOGT vehicles. Because of this change, the 1992 3OOOGT Service Manual must be updated.
As a reference to this TSB, write the TSB revision number in the TSB Revision box located near the bottom of each affected service manual page.

DESCRIPTION
To help decrease the amounts of R-12 refrigerant in the atmosphere, the A/C system on the 1992 3OOOGT continues to evolve with more efficient, smaller components needing less refrigerant. Formerly the A/C system held approximately 960g (34 oz.). On 1992 3OOOGTs produced after October 15, 1991, the refrigerant quantity was decreased to approximately 800g (29 oz.).
In addition, the A/C receiver was reduced in size, and the shape of the receiver bracket was changed.
As shown in the following examples, update the service manual to reflect these changes.
