POWER STEERING UPDATE
NO. TSB-90-37-001
DATE December, 1990
MODEL 1990 Mirage LS
PURPOSE TSB Revision TSB 90-37-001
1990 Mirage LS vehicles with power steering come equipped with P175/70R13 tires. These tires are slightly wider than tires used on other 1990 Mirage models. These wider tires require a reduced steering angle in order to provide clearance between tires and body components during tight turns. The steering angle reduction is accomplished by using a different power steering gear and linkage assembly. The table below shows the different steering angles and the power steering and linkage assemblies used. Refer to this Technical Service Bulletin when servicing the power steering on 1990 Mirage models.
In addition, the 1990 Mirage Service Manual must be updated. As reference to this bulletin, please write this TSB number in the TSB Revision boxes on the affected Service Manual page.
