Service Adjustment Procedures

CLUTCH PEDAL INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT
1. Measure the clutch pedal height and free play.

Standard value (A): 168 - 171 mm (6.61 - 6.73 in.)
Standard value (B): 20 - 30 mm (0-80 - 1.18 in.)

NOTE The clutch pedal height is not adjustable. If it deviates from the standard value, check the pedal bracket for deformation etc. and replace the part if necessary.



2. If the clutch pedal free play is not within the standard value, turn the outer cable adjusting nut at the toeboard and adjust the clutch cable free play to within the range.



3. After making the adjustment, depress the clutch pedal several times and check the clutch pedal to toeboard clearance is within the standard value range when the clutch is disengaged.

Standard value (B): 80 mm (3.2 in.) or more

4. If the clutch pedal to floorboard clearance is less than the standard value, defective clutch assembly is suspected. Repair the clutch assembly.
