PURPOSE
On page 21-135 of the 1989 Sigma V-6 Service Manual (MSSP-005B-89) references to the kickdown band installation have been updated to expand the installation instructions and indicate the direction of the band. Please make the indicated updates on the service manual pages as shown below and write this Technical Service Bulletin number in the TSB revision box located on the bottom of the page.
SERVICE POINTS
Install the kickdown band so that the printed arrow is pointing towards the converter housing.
NOTE: One end of the kickdown band should contact the anchor rod, and the other end should contact the servo piston rod.
