Clock Opening Cap, Demister Nozzle, Glass Run - Repair

PURPOSE

This bulletin gives repair information for three appearance items on early 1989 Mirages. These are listed as follows and the repair instructions are detailed below.

1. Clock opening cap - on some cars without clocks, there may be a gap between the cap that covers the clock hole and dash pad.

2. Demister nozzle, right side - some cars may have a gap between the nozzle and the gap at the dash pad.

3. Glass run channel, right side - some cars may have a bulge between the glass run channel and the delta cover.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Clock Opening Cap (Figure 1): Remove the cap from the instrument panel and disconnect as illustrated. Replace with a new cap.

2. Demister Nozzle Gap (Figure 2): Snap out the demister nozzle, apply 2-faced tape as shown, and reinstall, pressing firmly.

3. Glass Run Channel: (Figure 3): Roll down the window, mask the shaded areas on the diagram to prevent cement smears, push the channel outward and apply 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive 08008 between the delta cover and the channel.
Press parts together and allow cement to set.
