Fuel Pressure Control Solenoid Valve

Fuel Pressure Control Solenoid Location:

OPERATIONAL CHECK
Before removing the vacuum hoses, mark there location to insure proper reassembly.
1. Remove the vacuum hoses (blue stripe and black) from the solenoid valve.
2. Disconnect the harness connector.

Fuel Pressure Control Valve Vacuum Test (power Off):

3. Apply vacuum with a hand pump to the fitting for the black hose and check the fitting for the blue striped hose both powered and unpowered for vacuum under the following conditions.

Unpowered:
Fitting open: vacuum leaks
Fitting plugged: vacuum holds
Powered:
Fitting plugged: vacuum holds

Fuel Pressure Control Valve Resistance Test:

RESISTANCE CHECK
Test the coil for resistance.

RESISTANCE....36 - 46 ohm @68~F (20~C)
