PURPOSE
This bulletin is issued to correct the ignition timing Inspection procedures in the 1987 Starion Service Manual, Vol. 2. As reference to this bulletin, please write the STB number in the revision boxes on pages 8-156, 8-157 and 8-158 of the 1987 Starion Service Manual, Vol. 2.
FIGURE 1:
CORRECTIONS
Page 8.156 Inspection Procedure 3, "Inspection of High Altitude and Cold Timing Advance Function", should be deleted as shown below. The correct inspection procedure is shown in Figure 1. This correct procedure is also shown on page 14-63 of the 1987 Starion Service Manual, Vol. 1.
FIGURE 2:
Page 8-157 Inspection Procedure 4, "Inspection of Detonation Control Function", and Inspection Procedure 5. "Inspection of ESC Igniter", should be deleted as shown below. These procedures are replaced by Figure 2.
Page 8-158 The table and Inspection Procedure 6, "Inspection of Detonation Sensor", should be deleted as shown below.
