Removal and Replacement

1. Drain oil from differential gear housing.
2. Remove both the right and left driveshafts from differential carrier.
3. Remove torque tube.
4. Remove rear support insulator and rear support attaching bolts.
5. Raise differential carrier with a suitable jack and disconnect differential from rear support insulators, then remove assembly from vehicle.
6. Remove rear supports, cover and gasket.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Apply suitable sealant to mating surfaces of vent plug and cover and to the rear cover and gasket.
