Equipment Hookup & Adjustment Procedures

LOW ALTITUDE:

1. Connect timing light to cylinder #1 and start engine.
2. With engine idling at operating temperature, check basic timing for 10° btdc, adjust as required.

HIGH ALTITUDE:

1. Connect timing light to cylinder #1 and start engine.
2. With engine idling at operating temperature, disconnect pressure sensor electrical connector.
3. Stop engine, restart and let engine idle.
4. Check basic timing for 10° btdc, adjust as required.
5. Reconnect pressure sensor and check for actual timing of up to 15° btdc.
