Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove under cover attaching bolt, then the under cover.
3. Remove stabilizer bar to lower control arm attaching bolt and nut.
4. Remove joint cup, bushing and collar.
5. Remove fixture attaching bolts, then the upper and lower fixtures from stabilizer bar.
6. Remove stabilizer bar from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque fixture attaching bolts to 12-19 ft. lbs.
b. When installing ends of stabilizer bar to control arm, tighten self locking attaching nut so that distance from base of nut to end of bolt is .83-.91 inch.
