PURPOSE
This bulletin is issued to correct the reducing pressure specifications for the automatic transmission in the 1987 Galant Service Manual. As reference to this bulletin, please write the STB number in the revision boxes on Pages 21-115 and 21-127 of the 1987 Galant Service Manual.
CORRECTIONS
Page 21-115 The Standard Oil Pressure Table on Page 21-115 contains the wrong reducing pressure specifications. The reducing pressure should be 380-470 kPa (54-66 psi). Please cross out the inapplicable values and write-in the correct ones as illustrated below.
Page 21-127 In the paragraph entitled "Adjustment of Reducing Pressure", the standard value for reducing pressure is incorrect. Please change it to 425 +/- 10 kPa (60 +/- 1 psi).
Also change the oil pressure change for each turn of the adjustment screw to 30 kPa (4.3 psi) as illustrated.
