IDLE-UP SPECIFICATION

Manual/Automatic Transmission with idle speed control Throttle opener setting = 850 rpm


1. Adjust curb idle speed to specifications, if necessary.
2. Disconnect electrical connector from idle-up solenoid valve or throttle opener control solenoid valve and activate valve using a suitable jumper wire.
3. Activate throttle opener using intake manifold vacuum.
4. Open throttle slightly until engine speed reaches approximately 2,000 RPM, then slowly close the throttle.
5. Adjust engine speed to specifications, using throttle opener adjuster screw.
6. Repeat step 4 and recheck engine speed.
7. Remove jumper wire and reconnect solenoid valve electrical connector.
