SERVICE INFORMATION

This bulletin contains cautions which are important to follow when disassembling the carburetors of 1987-1988 Truck, 1986-1988 Mirage, 1987-1988 Cordia/Tredia and 1987-1988 Montero vehicles. Because these carburetors use a resin type carburetor body, adhesive is applied to the threads of the mounting screws of the accelerator pump, enrichment jet cover and auxiliary accelerator pump (Truck and Montero Only). Forced removal of these screws may cause the screws to break, preventing reinstallation. Therefore, DO NOT REMOVE these components from the mixing body, unless the component is suspected of damage.

The accelerator pump, enrichment jet cover and auxiliary accelerator pump are not available as service parts. Therefore, if the accelerator pump, enrichment jet cover or auxiliary accelerator pump is damaged, the complete mixing body must be replaced.
