Concealment Plug Removal
Fig. 15 Concealment plug removal:
1. Remove carburetor from engine, then place in a suitable soft jawed vise.
2. Plug air and fuel inlets of carburetor to prevent entry of foreign matter.
3. Drill a 3/32 inch pilot hole at a 45° angle as shown, Fig. 15, then drill pilot hole to 1/8 inch.
4. Drive out concealment plug using a suitable drift, then blow out all metal chips using compressed air.
5. Remove impact plate, if equipped, then reinstall carburetor using new gasket.
