Enrichment Solenoid Jet Size Check/Replacement

ENRICHMENT SOLENOID JET SIZE CHECK

1. Disconnect the Enrichment Solenoid Valve electrical connector. Remove the valve from the carburetor.

Note:
This valve connector has a YELLOW wire. A wrench may need to b used to completely unscrew the valve since the "O" ring may bind on the threads.

2. Check the number stamped on the side of the Enrichment Solenoid Valve Jet.

Note:
A magnifying glass may be necessary to see the numbers.

3. If the number is "100" the jet must be replaced.

If the number is "95" the solenoid valve can be reinstalled using the procedures.

ENRICHMENT SOLENOID JET REPLACEMENT

1. While holding the Enrichment Solenoid Valve securely in your hand, carefully remove the Enrichment Solenoid Jet from the end of the body and replace it with the new one contained in the EMR-90-010 emissions kit. It is not necessary to remove the plunger, guide and spring from the solenoid body.

CAUTION:
The spring is very small and is easily lost. Be careful not to lose it!
