Jet Mixture Solenoid Valve Replacement

If tests show that the Jet Mixture Solenoid Valve needs to be replaced follow the procedures below.

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

2. Disconnect the Jet Mixture Solenoid Valve connector and remove the harness clamp.

3. Remove the Jet Mixture Solenoid Valve (Figure 5).

4. Install the new Jet Mixture Solenoid Valve and torque to:
2.5 to 3.4 N-m (1.8 to 2.5 Ft.lbs.) (22 to 30 In.lbs.).

CAUTION: Do not overtighten the Jet Mixture Solenoid Valve since this will distort the valve and cause an over-rich condition.

5. Reconnect connector and harness clamp.

6. Reinstall the air cleaner assembly.
