Enrichment Solenoid Jet Replacement

1. Remove the Enrichment Solenoid Valve from the carburetor (Figure 13).

2. While holding the Enrichment Solenoid securely in your hand, carefully remove the Enrichment Solenoid Jet from the end of the body and replace it with the new one in the Emissions Kit (Figure 14). It is not necessary to remove the plunger, guide and spring from the solenoid body.

CAUTION: The spring shown in Figure 14 is very small and is easily lost. Be careful not to lose it!

3. Reinstall the Enrichment Solenoid Valve and torque to:
2.5 to 3.4 N-m (1.8 to 2.5 Ft.lbs.) (22 to 30 In.lbs.).

CAUTION: Do not overtighten the Enrichment Solenoid Valve since this will distort the valve.
