Fuel Pressure Regulator: Testing and Inspection
1. Ensure fuel pressure is approximately 37 psi. If fuel pressure is not as specified, check electric fuel pump operation.
2. Check pressure regulator as follows:
a. Check pressure regulator for damage, bending or disconnection of vacuum tube.
b. Disconnect pressure regulator vacuum tube, then check to ensure fuel pressure rises. If fuel pressure does not increase, pinch return hose from pressure regulator to fuel tank and recheck.
c. Replace pressure regulator if specified fuel pressure is not obtained.
