PURPOSE

This bulletin describes a field installation to improve the driveability of 1985 Turbo Mirages that exhibit the following symptoms:

^ Cold-engine sag on acceleration
^ Hesitation after upshifting when the engine is cold.

PARTS AVAILABLE A Modulator Kit, Part No. MD102147, is available. The kit contains a modulator and associated wiring harness.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Remove the black plastic ECI computer cover located under the heater. Fig. 1.

FIGURE 2:

2, Disconnect 2 harness connectors from the ECI computer. Fig. 2.

FIGURE 3:

3. Disconnect the ground wire from the computer bracket. Fig. 3.

FIGURE 4:

4. Remove the ECI computer and bracket. Fig. 4.

FIGURE 5:

5. Install the modulator as shown in Fig. 5. Connect it to the ECI computer and the vehicle harness.
6. Install and reconnect all parts previously removed or disconnected.
