This bulletin supplements STB-83-14-007 issued in December, 1983. The charts in this supplement contain revisions that were not included in the charts printed in the initial bulletin. With these additional changes, the charts in the bulletin now agree with the FBC System Check Procedure Chart that was included with STB-83-14-007 and with the instructions furnished with the FBC Harness Connector.
Update the 1984 Cordia/Tredia Service Manual as indicated:

The FBC System Check Procedure Chart is changed as shown below and on Page 2 of this bulletin. Because these changes are extensive, we recommend crossing-out the entire chart. The labels on Pages 14-34 and 14-35 will direct the technicians to this bulletin. Additional revisions that were not covered in the December, 1983 issue of STB-83-14-007 are shown with shaded background.

FBC HARNESS CONNECTOR, SPECIAL TOOL NO. MD998408
Inspection Procedure
1. Turn Ignition switch OFF
2. Disconnect the two harness connectors from the electronic control unit (ECU).
3. Set check switch of ECI checker to OFF.
4. Set select switch of checker to A.
5. Connect the FBC HARNESS CONNECTOR to the connectors of the ECI checker, and then connect FBC HARNESS CONNECTOR to the ECU and harness connectors. Place ECI checker on front passenger's seat.
6. Perform checks according to the "FBC System Check Procedure Chart" on the reverse side of this sheet.
7. If checker shows any departure from specifications, check and repair or replace corresponding sensor and related electrical wiring.
8. After repair or replacement, recheck with ECI checker to confirm that repaired or replaced part is performing properly.
9. Set check switch of ECI checker to OFF.
10. Turn ignition switch OFF.
11. Disconnect the ECI checker and FBC HARNESS CONNECTOR from the ECU and body side harness connectors.
12. Connect body side harness connector to the ECU.
