MODEL 1984 High Altitude Vehicles
Service Technical Bulletin STB-25-82-001 contained a lid of states and counties in which a high-altitude kit was required for 1983 model cars and trucks. The EPA has just recently re-designated the high-altitude areas that apply to 1984 models, and this information is presented below.



HIGH-ALTITUDE COUNTIES RETAINED
HIGH-ALTITUDE COUNTIES EXCLUDED


All previously-designated high altitude counties in Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas and Wyoming are excluded from the high-altitude requirement for 1984 models.
