Pick-Up Coil: Testing and Inspection

Pick-Up Coil Testing:

CAUTION: Component damage may result if tester probes are inserted in igniter connecting terminals.

1. Measure resistance at measuring terminals as shown. Reading should be 920 - 1120 ohms.
2. Resistance can also be measured without distributor disassembly by inserting probes as shown.
3. Replace pick-up if resistance is not as specified.
