Timing Chain, Removal

Fig. 4 Timing chain assembly:





1. Remove crankshaft pulley attaching bolt, then the washer and crankshaft pulley, Fig. 4.
2. Remove timing chain case attaching bolts, then the timing chain case and gasket.
3. Remove chain guide access hole cover, then the gasket.
4. Remove oil seal, then chain guides B, A and C.
5. Remove chain B, then crankshaft sprocket B.
6. Remove oil pump sprocket, then the left silent shaft sprocket with spacer.
7. Remove tension sleeve, rubber sheet, then the tensioner spring.
8. Remove distributor drive gear, then the spring pin.
9. Remove camshaft sprocket, then the timing chain and crankshaft sprocket.
10. Remove chain guides, then the sprocket holder.
