Service Technical Bulletin STB-87-14-008 of August, 1987 provides instructions for the Authorized Modification Label.


PURPOSE

This bulletin provides a detailed procedure for inspecting 1.8L 1983-model California-specification Cordias and Tredias to correct any emissions-control system tampering which may have occurred on these models. A letter has been sent to an affected customers; a copy of this letter is included on Page 9 of this bulletin.

Please note that the customer is not to be charged for the repair covered by this bulletin. However, if other work is performed, for example replacement of an air filter or other parts or repairs requested by the customer, then these parts and repairs would require customer approval and payment.

To achieve the desired results, it is important that the procedure be followed EXACTLY as given in this bulletin.
